Gods of Egypt
Do you like sparkly costumes, Egyptian mythology and Gerard Butler as ‘the merciless god of darkness’? Well lucky for you some character posters and a synopsis have been released for the nonsense that is Gods of Egypt!
Magic, monsters, gods and madness reign throughout the palaces and pyramids of the Nile River Valley in this action-adventure inspired by the classic mythology of Egypt. With the survival of mankind hanging in the balance, an unexpected hero takes a thrilling journey to save the world and rescue his true love. Set (Gerard Butler), the merciless god of darkness, has usurped Egypt’s throne, plunging the once peaceful and prosperous empire into chaos and conflict. With only a handful of heroic rebels opposing Set’s savage rule, Bek (Brenton Thwaites), a bold and defiant mortal, enlists the aid of powerful god Horus (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) in an unlikely alliance against the evil overlord. As their breath-taking battle against Set and his henchmen take them into the afterlife and across the heavens, both god and mortal must pass tests of courage and sacrifice if they hope to prevail in the spectacular final confrontation.
Check out the pictures below but last time I checked, the Gods of Egypt had more bird and dog heads and stuff. The Rock better be doing a cameo as the CGI scorpion king.
As an added bonus the trailer has just landed and it looks bonkers. Like a mash up of The Mummy and Wrath of the Titans. for good or for ill it’ll certainly be a spectacle.
Jessica Jones
There’s a new trailer out for Netflix’s Jessica Jones. It shows a lot of the same stuff as the first one but we get a better look at Luke Cage and Purple Man. It’s due to drop this Friday.

Captain America: Civil War
As Well as seeing the new X-Men trailer we’ll also be getting our first look at a teaser for Captain America: Civil War before Star Wars too. Not only that but Paul Betany has been talking to Collider this week about Civil War and his character the Vision.
“It’s going to be a lot of fun. I think it’s really interesting, the way that a huge, epic superhero extravaganza is discussing a really interesting question, which is about people unilaterally going into other people’s countries and their intervention there. It’s actually an interesting thing to talk about in a massive forum like that”.
And what can we expect from the Vision in the film?
“there are so many places for him to go. I think he’s very interested in what it means to be human and what love is. The only way one can guarantee one’s loyalty is love. Loyalty is beyond logic, really. Logic doesn’t really provide for loyalty. If your logic changes suddenly and things not make sense, you can alter your allegiance, but love stops you from being able to do that”.
