Batman vs Superman

zodGeneral Zod is back and this time he’s got flipper hands! Should I just leave it at that? I think I will. Nah, I’ll elaborate. Micheal Shannon who played Zod in Man of Steel was seen as a corpse in the Batman v Superman trailer. This we know but when speaking to ‘Vulture’ he dropped a few hints that he may not be his usual self.

‘I was in my costume, and I couldn’t use my fingers because in the sequel I have flippers instead of hands. So I had these wax flippers on my fingers, and I couldn’t open the door, and I could hear Zack [Snyder] being like, ‘Where’s Shannon? Where the f*ck is he?’ and the whole crew was standing around. I was like, knocking on the door with my flippers, ‘Let me out of here!’

I like to think that he’s just trolling us all and that he’ll be leaving increasingly bizarre ‘spoilers’ with the media as time goes on.

‘ I was doing this scene with Jessie Eisenberg where we both had to be really emotional because Lex Luthor’s dad had just died. Jessie was just killing it, totally colouring within the lines, he had his tongue out and everything but I just couldn’t help myself. I kept cracking up. I mean how am I supposed to keep a straight face when he’s nursing a dead kangaroo in his arms and calling it pappi?’

Then again that would mean that I don’t get to see Zod with flippers. Hmmm…… I’m not sure what I’d prefer now.

Hell and back

Here we have some stop motion animation. I love me some stop motion. Its a film called Hell and Back and its brought to us by some of the Robot Chicken folk. It certainly has a robot chicken feel to it. It’s nowhere near as polished as an Aardman animation or The Corpse Bride but I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing. The trailer is NSFW ’cause of all the swearing and such. No Zomboobs this time.

Netflix

This week have some decent movies to pick from. Reno 911: Miami is up there which is good for a laugh, not as good as the series but still good. If you haven’t seen Horns with Danny ‘Potter’ Radcliffe in it then maybe check it out. Ive not seen it but it strikes me as one of those films that a lot of people would wait til its on Netflix to watch. Now’s your chance. the only thing you have to loose is your own time. The big movie this week though is The ‘The Hobbit 3: We ran out of books long ago’. It’s filled with earnest, proving yourself hobbity moments where everyone sees that simple folk with furry feet are just as good as everyone else as well as massive CGI battles to rival ‘The Lord of the Rings’. Until next week. Enjoy!
