First up, some DC Universe news. Henry Cavill Superman is no longer Superman. Something to do with scheduling conflicts and talks breaking down with his representatives and Warner Bros. The short story is, Cavill is out, joining Ben Affleck who’s unlikely to return to Batman. Wonder Woman is still around though and will be coming to our screens November next year in Wonder Woman 1984. I’ve only seen the first one so i’ll need to catch up on the 1982 other films before them. Exhausting.

The Cohen Brothers have a Western coming to Netflix November 16th, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. It’s an anthology style film and as with any Cohen Brothers film, it has an amazing cast. Tim Blake Nelson (Oh Brother Where Art Thou), James Franco (Pineapple Express), Liam Neeson (Taken) and Brendan Gleeson (The Guard) to name a few.

The 11th film in the Halloween series is going back to basics by nerfing all previous iterations and setting itself up as a direct sequel to the original. David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express) is directing and it’s written by Green, Jeff Fradley, and Danny McBride ( yes, that Danny McBride). John Carpenter served as a consultant and is back on music duties. Check out the trailer below, i’m getting a kind of Sarah Connors T2 vibe.

Lastly, Fortnite news. Fortnite is a game I’ve never been able to get into. I lack the skills to not die immediately in any video game I’ve ever played. From what I’ve played of Fortnite, when you die, thats it. Game over, go and wait for another game to start all over again so you can be immediately shot and have to wait for another. I play Overwatch where you respawn when you die. I can be terrible at it but at least I get to play along with everyone until the game is done. Overwatch doesn’t even show everyone a leader board of how terrible I am at the end of a game. I can be secretly terrible, it’s great. Anyway all this just to tell everyone that if you like playing Fortnite maybe you’d like playing Fortnite Monopoly. Probably not, but it exists now so all the kids out there can put it on their Christmas list, play it once, put it on top of the wardrobe and go back to playing Fortnight on their consoles.
